Our Dr. Baker comes to us from cosmopolitan Mexico City. She received her education at the National Autonomous of Mexico, of Mexico City (UNAM), the largest University in Latin America, founded in 1551. After initially pursuing tissue pathology, ultimately releasing her dissertation on the response of the tongue papillae to response to diabetes, she decided to take her scientific mindset into the field of dentistry. After 6 further years of schooling she received her doctorate degree in dental surgery at the UNAM School of Odontology, 3rd in her class. Her initial dentistry experiences came through serving the general public in UNAM sponsored clinics open to the public. During this time she worked with professors and independently on hundreds of dental cases, presenting a wide variety of challenges requiring a mastery in dental protocol to overcome. After school, she continued practicing dentistry. Her brother, who was also a dentist, had begun to have health issues and was unable to practice. Dr. Baker then took on his case load.
Following her life long dream to live in the United States, she relocated to the San Diego area in 2007. She initially worked as a mobile dental hygienist and assistant in the states. Saving her money over the course of time allowed her to begin practicing dentistry in Tijuana as an adjunct dentist at a popular dental practice near the border. She later moved to another practice as a general dentist, working with endodontist specialist to balance case loads.
She was finally able to open her own practice in 2009 at the current location. In order to provide the level of quality she envisioned, she has worked with a number of specialists in order to provide comprehensive treatment to her patients. She has been working with the current, curated team for the last several years. She and her select team of specialists have seen thousands of cases since, working together to provide each patient with exactly the right treatment for each of them.
Dr. Ivan Olivares is our Endodontist (Root canal) specialist. He graduated from Universidad Autonoma de Baja California and obtain his specialty in Endodontics by Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico in Mexico City. Dr. Ivan Olivares is a professor at the Universidad Autonoma de Baja California.
Dr. Olivares works with the State-Of-The-Art Endodontic procedures, rotatory instruments, ultrasonic scalers, digital apex locator,et al, to ensure each root canal is performed properly and facilitate the patients experience.
Dr. Francisco Ceseña Oral Surgeon graduated at Universidad Autonoma of Baja California, Faculty of Dentistry Tijuana, B.C. Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Specialist at Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico (UNAM, Mexico D.F). Certified by Oral and Maxillofacial Mexican Board. Maxillofacial and Oral Surgeon with specialty in Implantology. Dr. Ceseña is a true pioneer in the field of dental surgery, recently being the only in Mexico and one of two on entire west coast to use stem cell therapy for bone regeneration to create a dense bone structure for future permanent dental implants.
