Nuevo Laredo is a border town of great importance in the state of Tamaulipas, in Northeast Mexico. Specifically, on the southern margin of the Rio Grande on the border between Mexico and the United States of America(Texas border). Nuevo Laredo is the head of the homonymous municipality.

Towards century XIV of our era, the region of the present Nuevo Laredo was occupied by the Coahuiltecos Indians. Because of the inhospitable nature of the place they had to dedicate themselves to gathering, hunting, and fishing. These tribes were culturally more backward than their northern neighbors like the Apaches, the lipans, and the Comanches; they liked to eat the raw meat, they were naked or covered only with a loincloth of deer skin or lechuguilla.
